Introduction

Most questionnaires and experiments are copyrighted by their creators, so are not free to use. This means you should be careful to check that you have permission to use them before you start. In some cases you can email the creator of the questionnaire asking them for permission, and they will grant it. Alternatively, you can find lots of free questionnaires that might suit your purposes adequately, such as the ones listed here.

Male Psychology Questionnaires
There are currently three questionnaires on this site which can be found here:

·      The Positive Mindset Index, which measures mental positivity, and has been used with over 10,000 participants.

·      The male and female gender scripts, which measures masculinity and femininity

·      Scoring for the Colour Blind Quality of Life Scale (CBQoL)

·      The Wellbeing Benefits of Everyday Activities Scale, which can be applied to any activity or situation, measuring how much that activity improves a person’s wellbeing.

PsyToolkit
PsyToolkit is a free-to-use toolkit which includes both survey software and library of questionnaires. There are over 100 questionnaires on personality, mental health, and cognition, for adults and children, and over 30 tests for cognitive psychological experiments. An excellent resource, as long as you don’t mind using code.

Psychological Tests for Student Use
“The tests are all copyrighted but the test authors have given their permission to have their tests placed on the website [Psychological Tests for Student Use (York University, Canada)] with the knowledge that they will be downloaded and used by student researchers. They are aware that students will not seek further permission to use the tests.” Nineteen tests are listed, including ones on gender, sexism, anger, and self-esteem.
